How we earn commissions
AquaVerdict earns commissions one way: Amazon. Most product links go to Amazon, where we participate in the Amazon Associates program, and Amazon pays us a commission on qualifying purchases. It is paid by the seller and does not add to the price you pay. Some of the systems we rate are not sold on Amazon at all — SpringWell, for one, sells only through its own site — so those links go directly to the manufacturer. We are not enrolled in those manufacturer programs, so those links are unmonetised: we earn nothing if you buy through them. The button says so before you click it.
Affiliate income is how this site stays independent and free to read. We do not charge for access, do not accept sponsored content, and do not sell advertising placements. Commissions are the only revenue source.
Why commissions do not change verdicts
Every system is scored on the same five checkpoints regardless of whether we have an affiliate relationship with the brand. Commission rates vary by program — some brands pay more per sale than others. If a higher-paying brand scores lower on the spec sheet, it gets a lower score. That is the only system that keeps the verdicts trustworthy.
Two things on this site are there because they cost us money. We rate several systems SITUATIONAL rather than BUY, which is the honest answer more often than a review site admits and a worse one commercially. And where a manufacturer sells direct instead of through Amazon, we say so on the button rather than routing you to a lookalike listing that would pay us. AquaVerdict is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, AquaVerdict earns from qualifying purchases.
